Soldiers of the military council of the coup govern ment fled to Bangladesh following a fierce battle with Arakan Army, rebel forces. The AA reported that two military units were defeated and sought refuge in Bangladesh with assistance from the Arakan Rohingya Army (ARA).
The AA captured the Taungpyoe border military base camps, leading to casualties, arrests, and the flight of military council soldiers to Bangladesh. Reports confirm that the ARA facilitated their escape.
Furthermore, it has been disclosed that military wea pons and equipment from captured border guard camps were sold to ARA and RSO forces by the mili tary council for 10 million Bangladeshi rupees. Clos e relations between the military council’s border gua rds and ARA, led by Nobi Husung, have also been learned.
The military council’s actions of arming ARA and RSO forces to control Arakan Army AA, along with alleged incitement within Muslim communities in Arakan (Rakhine) state, have raised concerns.
With the capture of border camps, stability has bee n restored to the Arakan -Bangladesh border region. The Rakhine Army AA emphasizes its com mitment to security and social harmony, with the Arakan Arm y’s government, People’s Govern ment of Arakan” pledging to enforce stringent security measures.
