As I saw today the market street of Kalpyin (Yadaran Myain) village.

Local residents say that during battles in Gwa Township, soldiers from the military council are fleeing due to their inability to fight, and the military council is arresting and executing its own soldiers.

According to a source close to the military, on September 16, near Gantgawtaung Dam in Kyeintali Town, Gwa Township, four soldiers from the military council’s forces, who refused to fight and fled, were shot and arrested by the military council’s troops.

He said, “In the past few days, the fighting was intense. However, recently, it has been quiet. Four soldiers from the military council, who refused to fight and fled, were shot and captured. They were caught at the entrance to Kalar Pyin Bridge. Three of them died instantly. The other was captured alive but was later executed at the Kalar Pyin (Yadanar Myine) police station.”

According to sources close to the military, the bodies of the soldiers who died were buried at the Kalar Pyin (Yadanar Myine) village cemetery on September 17.

On September 4, it has been reported that during intense fighting at Gantgawtaung Dam, soldiers from the military council fled and the military council subsequently recaptured these fleeing soldiers and detained them.

A person close to the military said, “There are many soldiers from the military council who have been detained. Although there have been no recent battles, the military council has frequently launched attacks using small arms and heavy weapons. I see that the soldiers from the military council are quite fearful of engaging directly with the AA.”

The Arakan Army has successfully taken control of several key cities in Rakhine State during the recent conflict, including Pauktaw, Minbya, Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, Myebon, Ponnagyun, Ramree, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, and Thandwe, as well as the Paletwa area.

The AA has announced that they will continue operations to fully capture the remaining towns of Maungdaw, Taungup, Kyauktaw, Gwa, Kyeintali, Ann, Sittwe, Kyaukphyu, and Manaung.
