On January 8, the Myanmar military launched an airstrike on Kyauk Ni Maw Township in Yanbye, resulting in the destruction of over 400 homes, leaving the area in ruins.
The military reportedly targeted residential areas deliberately, despite no active clashes in the township. The attack caused the deaths of 41 civilians and left over 50 injured.
Currently, many of those whose homes were destroyed are in urgent need of emergency food supplies, according to reports.
