On September 26, the military junta carried out an airstrike on the Environmental Conservation Office in Thandwe, where internally displaced persons (IDPs) were sheltering. As a result, 14 IDPs were killed, 24 were injured, and one remains missing, according to information gathered by the Coastal News Agency (CNA).
It has been reported that among the 14 people who died in the military council’s airstrike, five were underage children. Additionally, of the 24 injured, 10 were also children. Furthermore, a five-year-old child is currently missing.
